I went to the doctor on Thursday for the Pleurisy but it also doubled as my checkup. She said that in spite of the lung problem my asthma had cleared up and she heard nothing that would have tipped her off to it. I also have officially lost 20lbs on her chart. Pretty awesome.
She showed me a bmi chart and it puts me at an impossible goal to achieve. In order to be on the boarderline for healthy and obese I have to weight 150lbs. I haven't weighed that since I was in elementary school. That is another 75lbs to lose and I don't know how to begin to process that challenge. Taking my current weight and estimated %bodyfat I would have to lose either all my fat or a significant portion of my muscle to get there. Should I make that a goal? I wanted to be 200lbs with 10-15% body fat. That would have me being rather toned and probably showing some abs but not thin or even particularly athletic. It would also have me losing a lot of fat and very little lean muscle. Something to ponder.
Weigh in was holding steady. I ate a lot of garbage this weekend, indian food and mcdonalds. Not a good choice. I was also unable to exercise at all last week. I had meetings on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with the lung problems starting on Thursday and lasting until yesterday. Tonight I work until 9pm so it looks like I can start back tomorrow with some cardio and perhaps a little bit of ab and leg work.

I woke up yesterday with a very painful right side. It hurt when I breathed. Turns out I have pleurisy. It is an inflammation of the membrane around my lung. That means breathing is hard and I can't work out.
My weight is holding steady but I've had a low appetite so I'm not eating enough calories. I got 1700 yesterday. Not enough to keep myself out of starvation I don't think.

Yesterday I went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the stair climber machine on Mountain level 4. The straight up hill was horrible but I made it. I didn't lift because I had a meeting at 6. The machine claims I burned 300 calories and climbed 75 flights of stairs.
I checked my wii fit graph and it is awesome to see the graph go down.
Today I found a site called www.fatsecret.com that seems like a comprehensive diet logging site. It has an app for my blackberry and can be updated on a website. The best part is it syncs between the two and is free.
The line on my graph below is broken and outside of the box. So weird.

At one point in my life I weighed 308lbs. I was very heavy and miserable. My best guess was I weighed that much my freshman year of college though I can't remember exactly. I have been losing and gaining since. My life is very stable now and I have been doing better than ever with my weight
On 1/30/09 I bought a house and remember my first weigh in well. I weighed 262. I decided it was time for a change and I could do much better than this. Today I weigh 225. I will try to keep this updated and talk about the hows and whys as I go. I'll also try to do reference images.
Here is a (blank apparently) starting graph. I wish I could postdate entries to give it more than one point.
